The Sims

The Sims is a series of life simulation video games developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts. First released in 2000, the franchise has seen massive success and over the years was followed by three additional installments and numerous spin-offs. In The Sims, the player takes control of a “Sim”, the gameplay is focused on simulating life. The players are encouraged to find hobbies, build relationships, and start careers. The gameplay is extremely open-ended and detailed which is part of the reason why the franchise is so popular.
